  Did Jesus have a haidresser ?

  i coudn't help but notice in a recent watchtower ( february i think it was).

  jesus was pointing the way to some one with two fingers ,not to somebody who had two fingers but pointing the way with two fingers.

  just one finger might have give the wrong impression.. the point is jesus had what can only be described as this fabulous head of hair .i mean it was like wow because your worth it !

  In reponse to your further enquiries it does appear from the Abbas Diaries that an annual event did take place at the Funny Girls Night Club in Sieze a rear. Maybe the " Queen of the Nile " competion is the event to which you refer.

  Apparantly the Queen of the Nile Annual Contest was very popular back then. This contest involved the participants running after each other into the bull rushes and the one who was the last to be captured became Queen for the forth coming year. Barber Abbas thinks that must have been the consolation prize. Ocasionally some of them got into difficulties in the river and had to have a boy thrown at them to stop them drowning. It was a week long event with different activities such as the Wet Toga competion, The Karaoke songs were especialy selected from a repertoir of music associated with the theme men, such as "Going to wash that man right out of my hair, " "Can't help loving that man o' mine, " and firm favourites with Trannie Annie ,"When a man loves a woman," and " A boy named Sue. "

  They also held a kind of dualling event called " handbags at dawn," when the contestants hit each other over the head until one person gave up by saying, " Ooh you are awful but I like you !"

  The hairless legs competion was fun as well, they used to wax lyrical about that. Barber Abbas made a fortune getting everybody ready prior to that week.

  A Mr Humphries look alike competion was the last event of the week with the winner declaring "I'm free for a whole week."

  What's in it for the Governing Body?

  for many jw's, they point to the gb as wonderful examples of zealous, humble, older men that are only serving jg for right and correct reasons.. unlike many of the preachers we see on tv, they are, and this is the important point, 'not in it for the money'.. of course we see them differently on this site, exposed many times over, as being self-serving hypocrites.. but if you want to win-over a jw doubter, this is one of the questions you have to answer.

  "what's in it for the gb member?

  why are they doing this if not for the money?".

  They get to live very comfortably from pursuing their religious hobby.

  How difficult can it be living in what amounts to be a fairly high standard hotel .

  Why do they not publish their credentials for all to see. Let their individual history be known so that others can tell who is up to the job and who isn't.

  Publish the minutes of their meetings , lets see who votes for what. Come on Governing Body ,what are you afraid of.

  I think they are the first ever known pictures of the three wise men and I thought they had been lost to antiquity.

  The last time I saw those they were hanging up in my salon ; Sit down have a cup of tea and a cake.

  For me just about every Sinatra recording is just brilliant especially his recordings for Capitol Records and Columbia. There is a lot of magic on his Reprise records as well.

  His interpretation of popular song was like listening to the greatest actor in the world doing Shakespeare.He made you appreciate poetry when you didn't even know you liked poetry. He could set a mood like no other. He chose the some of the best popular songs written by some of the best song writers of the 20th century. He had some of the best arrangers and best musicians around.

  Obviously as he reached his fifties his voice became less mellow but I went to see him in a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London in the ninteen eighties, there wasn't an empty seat in the place and boy did he make that place come alive.

  I've heard it said that when he first started out and singing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra everyone on the dance floor just stopped dancing and watched him, mesmerised by his voice.

  I must mention another great singer who was under estimated and unfortunatley died last year his name was Al Martino , he was not as prolific as Sinatra but some of his recordings such as, " To each his own, " " Fascination, " An Affair to Remember, " " I have but one heart, " " Blue Spanish Eyes, " Nessun Dorma ," etc. etc. are fabulous.

  First let me tell you in case you don't know I am British.

  For years I have listened to Merle Haggard songs , American country songs and singers I like, but Merle in particular. Just before christmas I discovered one that I had not heard before and it goes by the title Me and Crippled Soldiers. You guys fom the States will probably have heard it many times before. I heard it first on U Tube.

  For the past couple of weeks premiered on UK television they have shown the American series about WW2 it contains actual film footage ,news clips and experiences spoken by people who had lived through those dark days in the 1940s. it was very moving to watch especially listening to those who had first hand experience. Tom Hanks also did some of the voice overs. Coincidentally I had just finished reading a book called Paton's last Battle which relates the horrors of the war in Europe .

  I just want to say from a Brit. If you ever meet any American veterans especially from that time or know anyone ,maybe you have relatives. Please will you shake them by the hand and then shake their hand again and say, that last hand shake was from a Brit; and thank you.

  I imagine that it would take them at least an hour for them to realise because they would be so tied into the judicial process.I can see it now ," Are you refusing to answer the charge yes or no?" Then after repeated questioning for about an hour it would be " Well you leave us no alternative you are no longer considered a Jehovah Witness , have you anything to say ?" Another long silence , " Why are looking at us in that way insolence will not get you through Armageddon ."

  Better carry him out and leave him in the car park !

  I am so glad you asked me that." The cornfield cut" , as we say in the trade , is over two thousand years old.It has its origins in the Holy Land. Here are the facts.

  Capernaum Approx. AD 28 .

  At that time Jesus and his disciples decided because it was the Sabath ,their day off, and a very hot one, that it might be a good idea to go on a picnic in the country side.They drew straws to see who would make the sandwiches ,it was Judas who drew the short straw. Jesus said he himself would provide wine. Mary Magdelene went as well because she had the most gorgeous ................... singing voice ,she often entertained them when Andrew played the pipes .This was a few years before he embarked for Scotland.

  They hiked for about two hours, assisted by a hand held sat nav. speaking in Hebrew . All of a sudden Mathew noticed it had directed them to a campsite full of Pharisees about half a mile away. Jesus quickly ordered them to turn left into the cornfield but the sexy voice on the sat nav. kept saying , "Oh don't stop now!" , in full volume, thus attracting the interest of the Pharisees who were camping it up further down the road. Luckily because the corn was as high as an elephant's eye and a little brown maverick was winking its eye they managed to stay out of sight. A few tense moments elapsed when it was suggested that they might as well stay where they were and enjoy the wine with triangular sandwiches from the whicker basket . All of a sudden Judas shouted, 'Jesus we have a problem, " Jesus replied , "Hey Jude what's the matter , just let it out and let it in, but keep your voice down do you want to give me away ?" Judas replied " sorry lads I have forgotten the sandwiches. " With deep groans and rumbling tums all round they decided to eat the wheat and that's when all hell broke loose.

  It is at this juncture the scripture narrative takes over to a certain degree. The Appostles , Mary and Jesus, were so ravenous at this time and had quite too much wine on empty stomachs,they started to eat the ears of corn and rubbing it between their fingers, in fact they were making crop circles without knowing it. It was at this juncture that the Pharisees had what is known as a what the F . moment but in the hebrew tounge. They could see all the wheat being trampled and eaten so they went over and immediatley recognised Jesus and said "not you lot again, what do you mean by working on the sabath by gathering food ,do you not know that it is against the law of Moses? " But Jesus, savy as ever replied, " do you not know that the sabath was made for man ,not man for the sabbath. if a sheep falls into a ditch and can't get out for a spot of lunch on a sabbath is it not right for the shepherd to retrieve the poor little lamb. As usual Jesus sent them away with a flee in their ear.

  Well to cut a long story short when the Disciples arrived back in town the next day they went directly to Barber Abbas and each one of them had a cornfield hair do to commemorate that special sabath way back when. The style had almost vanished but throughout history someone somewhere on the earth has flaunted that hair style, sticking two fingers up at the establishment.

  That is one of Barber Abbas's franchises I recognised it at once. His wife ran one or two outlets, she was known generally as Barbara Barber Abbas.

  There is a well known branch in the coastal resort of Scarborough ,Yorkshire UK. Known as Barber Barbara in Scarborough harbour.

  Barber Abbas Diary.

  Jan 7th AD 30.

  A red head called in today, a man called Judas ,no hair just a red head. He claimed that I had put too much peroxide in the shampoo that I had sold him last week. Like I said he was supposed to rub it into his hair not drink it. I asked him to sit down, relax, have a drink of herbal tea.

  Antonio the Roman Centurian came in later , he likes me to powder him up now and again. He says its not easy having a hundred men under him. He told me he had had a bit of a rough day on account of Ben Hur and his mates tearing up and down the newly made road, doing hand brake turns , playing havoc with the cobbles. He reckons Ben has been given an ASBO (anti social behaviour order ) more than once, and he's been ordered to join the , "pay back to the community team ", helping to mend the grass verge. Nothing seems to work .I reckon he should get five years on the galleys that should cool him down a bit.

  Anyway, after Antonio had a drink of tea and had calmed down a bit. he said to me " do you like my underpants ?" as he took them out of his Wallmarticus carrier bag. Impressed I said , where did you get them from? He went on to tell me that his mother had made them for him for his forth coming tour to the furthest reaches of the Roman Empire .He was on his way to design a wall for Hadrian his boss. Apparently he was going to sort out the Scotia and the Pictii in Brittanicus. One under garment was made of sheeps wool and the other goat hair but he wasn't too keen on the goat undies because when he was on his last tour of duty in Brittanicus it got a bit rough around the Trossachs.

  Moshe.

  Jesus did have a lice attack once or twice, he told me that he handled it very carefully because to use his own words "on his own head be it." He sent them to another pig pen of Gaderene Swine , same thing straight over the cliff edge. This is not widely known about because it was hushed up at the time .The local pig breeders around Galilee started to ask too many questions and were asking for serious amounts of compensation claiming one attack may seem like an accident but several seems like a vendetta.They even hired a lawer and everything.

  Nothing came of it however because the prosecution lawyers told to many porkies. Plus the fact that their wasn't much of a market for bacon in that area.
